Aurora

Aurora Aksnes was born on 15 June 1996 in Stavanger, Norway. Professionally known as Aurora and occasionally stylized using the letters in uppercase in the form of AURORA. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves is a May 2015 release from Decca Records. It has received high praise from the blogs and the press. The singer has released a number of high-profile covers, such as Half the World Away (by the band Oasis) to accompany John Lewis' Christmas advert and Nature Boy (by Nat King Cole) that have been widely praised. Katy Perry's praise for her song Runaway via a blog post added to the musician's acknowledgement. Make it a day to celebrate her birthday. Aurora Aksnes first musical memory was discovering a piano within her loft and being amazed by the music. Jan Oystein Aksnes and May-Britt Aksnes urged Aurora to pursue music, not for work or for a passion, but as an opportunity to grow. They encouraged her to compose. She is credited with Bob Dylan and Leonard Cohen, along with Bjork for being among her inspirations. Her mother was supportive of her performing her music in front of the public, but not to achieve fame, but rather to let others know the importance of their work and what they can do for humanity. The mother of her child suggested that she be able to perform her music publicly in order in order to make people aware of the importance of their work and how they can affect the world. She didn't tell her family about her music until she reached fourteen. The dream was never to be Aurora. Aurora says she loves writing songs. She claims that music is her favorite way to feel anything.
